JoSAA is the admissions office for B.Tech programs (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). While registering, students who have taken either the JEE Mains or JEE Advanced must keep the following factors in mind:
- Only students who have passed the JEE Mains exam are eligible to apply for seat allocation in NITs.
- Candidates who have passed the JEE Advanced exam are eligible to apply to any of the participating institutions.
- Candidates can select as many options as they want while enrolling in decreasing order.
- Students must remember to lock their choices in order to be evaluated for admission based on the available possibilities. No changes can be made once the file has been locked.
- There are a total of seven rounds for seat allocation, in which all participating universities take part.
- Finally, for accepting the seat provisionally, an acceptance fee must be paid.
- For document verification, students must go to the nearest JoSAA center.
